WIP Pin-up 1.2 update

Here's the new spot I'm at with my pin-up studies.

I brought things like the face and torso farther along. Cleaned things up a bit. Tried to smoothe things out (a little too much) and worked the entire body. I'm still playing with the lights and darks of things. Another couple of sessions and it should be alright.

Pin-up Practice

Hello,

Just dropping in a piece I'm working on. I'm practicing pin-up style because a possible client is interested in displaying my work in her vintage store and I'm interested in vintage.

I'm doing a practice painting of a pin-up girl on the computer (photoshop cs4 w/tablet) and I'm also doing an oil painting in pin-up style of an actual model. Check back for the oil painting update shortly.

Hello again,

This is just a quick painting I did, about 40 minutes, on photoshop of a water bottle.

Two new works for you.

These two items were done in my last week of school. One traditional oil on panel painting and one digital painting done on photoshop. My first photoshop painting success, really.

Oil painting - Matt! Matt! Matt!
Digital painting - Viktor Leminkauff

This is a new piece I'm working on at present. This is the digital rough for what will be turned into an oil/acrylic painting on a skateboard. Part of a 6 board series I'm doing with the theme water/wet.

I'll keep you posted.

Portrait in Progress

Just posting a progress picture of a portrait I've been working on for a couple of sessions during my co-op. It started out absolutely horrible and disgusting in acrylics and now it's being rendered with oil paints. This is my first time using oil paints and I'm really enjoying them. I find them much easier to mix to the desired colour and more intuitive in technique.
